Welcome to Tangled River. This is my first attempt at an original webcomic, and I'd love to have some feedback to help me make it better.

The silhouette in the last panel is very striking. Love the overall look of this page!

I hate to be That Guy - but in real navies, there is no such thing as "nine bells".

The maximum number of bells rung is eight - every half-hour of a four hour watch, and then beginning again with the next watch.

Here's a page from a Navy FAQ explaining.

=============

That's interesting - the board capitalised the link text, even though i didn't.

Thanks, Fairportfan. I didn't know that about bells in the navy. The bells in New Frontier are used to signal certain times of day, due to the fact that there are no functioning time pieces. Also there are signals for special events.

"... I'd never even seen one." No comics??? What is this blasphemy?

Hi! I like your close ups, very nice! The story is just developing, so hard to make a constructive comment on that (though it looks like it's moving very well so far), but I could comment about the far off figures... They look unreal, strange, the postures not quite right.

The colors are good!

But I'm curious, will definitely keep reading.
